Creating your first event
An event is one occasion. Set it up once and everything for that day - games, guests, QR code - hangs off it.
What you need
- •The event details: a name, a date and who it is for
How the host controls it
- •The event code never expires
- •Win conditions can change mid-game
- •Delete or archive events you no longer need
Who it suits
Everyone.
How guests join
Guests join the event, not the account. One code covers every game you have switched on for that event.
How you win
Set per game - most bingo games run to a full house unless you choose otherwise.
How it ends
End the game from the host screen, or close the event when the day is over.
Step by step
- 1Start a new eventFrom the dashboard or the Games page, choose New Event and pick the game type you want to run.Take me there
- 2Name it and date itUse a name you will recognise in a list - for example the couple or the venue and the date.
- 3Set the win conditionOne line, two lines or full house. You can change this during play from the host settings without losing the round.
- 4Choose how it startsStart it yourself when the room is ready, or set it to start when enough guests have joined or at a set time.
- 5Save and get your codeEvery event gets a short code and a QR code. Guests use either one.
- 6Flag it as a test if it is a rehearsalTest events are labelled clearly and left out of your statistics, so practising never distorts your figures.
- 7Open it when you are readyYour event stays in the list until the day. Open the host screen and share the code to begin.Take me there
Common problems
You cannot remember the event code
It is on the event card in your Events list, and on the host screen.
The event does not appear for guests
Check the event is switched on and the game inside it has been activated. An inactive game stays hidden from guests.
